6. The Infirmary

The Infirmary looks neat and tidy, but all the soldiers have to sleep on are cots? Look at the high ceiling with crown moulding and the elegant, over-sized door. The electrical light switches on the right are a recent addition. This must be an older building, probably pressed into service for the war effort.

In the Infirmary we see a soldier on a cot, leaning over as if he's about to get out of bed... or not feeling well. Is this the man Bill and his friend are visiting?

Standing nearby is a nurse, who looks like she's making a snappy comeback to a slightly improper suggestion. Our guys couldn't have made it...they're just back from the Canteen and they're feeling too happy to be rude!

(Pssst! Hey, Bill! You're about to meet a MUCH cuter nurse back in the States, so behave yourself.)

I can't be sure, but I think she's holding two packs of cigarettes. Handing them out to the wounded, I guess. Health care certainly has changed in the last 60 years.
