  1. No one will ever convince me that dogs don’t know exactly what is going on with us. I guess he knew Mark pretty well, too, huh? Hope you feel better soon, Mojo. How are you doing, Bonnie?

Do you know that I just now realized that’s your list in Miss Snark’s sidebar? Duh.

  2. What are you doing to me gal, now I am crying =)) I told my husband last night that I know my dog knows I don’t feel well (aka..my jaw surgery) because he has been “tip toeing” around me, has not jumped on me, and slowly approaches me. They know, I know dogs know when people around them are sad.

Bonnie, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

  3. You know what, guys? Bad things come in clusters. They really do.

Yesterday morning one of our friends lost her battle with ovarian cancer. She was a single mom with a teenage daughter.

I do think animals sense what is going on. My mom always said it was because they can hear the angels talking. I’d like to think that’s true.

Mojo’s digestive system has been messed up all week and he’s definitely not feeling his best. Then yesterday afternoon Loki found the loose board in the fence and stuck his head through.

He and Mojo just stood there next to each other for the longest time—it looked for all the world like they were consoling each other.

  4. Yes, animals know when we are down, or sick. They just know. Mojo definitely has his mojo working on overdrive for you and yours chica. I hope his unconditional love helps you feel better–even if it involves the couch. πŸ˜‰

    Thinking of you…

  5. You are right, Bonnie. these things do seem to come in clusters. Sometimes I think it’s seasonal change that is part of it; it’s almost like a sick person knows they can’t get through another season and so peacefully lets nature take its course. I’m sorry you are having to deal with the loss of a friend as well. We all love you and are with you, wherever we are in the world.

  6. Wow. Just wow.

You are so lucky to have been able to capture that on film.

Hugs to everyone -Mojo too!- in your house. I’m so sorry to hear about your friend. πŸ™

  7. What sweet pictures, Bonnie.

    Those two pups are precious.

    So sorry about the loss of your friend. {{Hugs}}

  8. I’m sorry you lost someone else…My prayers are truly with you in these difficult times.

And the dogs *sniff* that was so precious…It made me all teary-eyed.

God bless you, my dear friend!

  9. “Yesterday morning one of our friends lost her battle with ovarian cancer. She was a single mom with a teenage daughter.”

Bonnie, I’m so sorry you had to endure so much in such a short time. Is there any way we could help said teenage daughter? Put her on a supportive mailing list, maybe? My office is not perfect, but me and my daughters could write her and lend support.

We’d be thrilled to do so… given she could tolerate loving sarcasm.

    XO,

    Robin

  10. The good things come in clusters too they just don’t grab us by the throat, slap us upside the head or stab us in the heart the way the bad things seem to.
Good things tend to be smaller, more shy, a bit hidden–I think we’re meant to seek them out but then sometimes they just magically appear like in this moment shared between a bulldog and his buddy.

  11. Bonnie (and family),

It sounds like you were dealt a hand from the bottom of the deck. Please accept my sympathies.

I loved the pictures of Mojo and Loki. It summed up so much in those pictures.

    Take gentle care.

    Smooches to you and Mojo!
