Now I’ve got my iBook back, I thought I’d update to WordPress 1.5.1.
There are plenty of grouchy requests for bug-fixing on 1.5.1 in the WordPress forum, but Lorelle’s impassioned request for us all to get along almost convinced me to go ahead and update.
Then I dropped in to see what MacManX thinks about it… and now I believe I’ll wait.
Just wanted to let you know that the “ping-o-matic issue” was just resolved on ping-o-matic’s end. One down, two to go.
Just another update, the pingback and trackback problems have been fixed by revision 2606 of the functions.php file: http://trac.wordpress.org/file/trunk/wp-includes/functions.php?rev=2606
And, the feed problems have been fixed by revision 2600 of wp-blog-header.php: http://trac.wordpress.org/file/trunk/wp-blog-header.php?rev=2600
And one more update, to fix the pingback and trackback issue, you will also need revision 2606 of xmlrpc.php: http://trac.wordpress.org/file/trunk/xmlrpc.php?rev=2606
Final update (hoepfully), I’ve posted a summary of what you’ll need to have a [hopefully] bug-free WordPress v1.5.1 installation here: http://www.macmanx.com/wordpress/archives/2005/05/16/wordpress-v151-fixes/
Just one more quick update, WordPress v1.5.1.1 was quietly released a few days ago and should fix all of the problems mentioned above.
